The school year is starting and many of us will be working with the days of the week in Spanish and the calendar. Talking about the month of September, children can practice questions, numbers, and the days of the week in a meaningful way.
I wrote about the days of the week and the calendar last year, and this post has updated PDFs of the same activities for September 2012. I had plans to make something new, but things have been busy and that has not happened! In any case, these activities work well with children learning the days of the week in Spanish.
The months and the days of the week are not capitalized in Spanish and the week begins on Monday on Spanish language calendars.

A board game with the September calendar to practice the days of the week in Spanish
You can make a simple board game where players move through the month and practice the days of the week in Spanish. I have attached a printable game I made for the month of September, but of course you can make one for any month. You can also make the game simpler or more difficult depending on the level and age of the players. Use more than one month to make a longer game.
