In this free online Spanish game, kids match pictures of animals to their names. It is on the website Interpeques, and the site has other activities that are appropriate for Spanish language learners, too. This game is for children who can read the words in Spanish; there is no audio. The game is divided into two parts, or bloques, with five groups in each. In most of the groups, there are 10 animals to match to their names.
Kids practice Spanish animal words with this game. Although the vocabulary is not used in context, it is represented by images, so there is no translation. The pictures are small, but most are very clear. Groups 9 and 10 do have bigger pictures of just a few animals. The words in the groups repeat to some extent and quite a few of the names of less familiar animals are cognates.
When children are done matching the pictures in a group, they can click comprobar. The game will give the percentage correct and reset the images that are in the wrong place to be
matched again.
