I have purchased the BrainBox games in Spain and am thrilled to see that there are a couple of versions available on Amazon. My students love this game! There is version specifically for learning Spanish and another designed for native speakers that can be used with Spanish learners.
To play BrainBox games, you draw a card and study the picture for 3o seconds. Then you roll a die and answer a corresponding question about the picture on the other side of the card. If you answer correctly, you keep the card. It’s simple to play and offers lots of visual support for language learners.

Monica Brown’s latest bilingual book featuring Marisol McDonald will delight children. La manta de Maya is another wonderful story by Monica Brown. If you have a child learning Spanish, I recommend you go out of your way to find it. Is is one of the best read-alouds I have read in years.
National Geographic Kids Spanish Activity Books with Stickers
National Geographic Kids publishes wonderful Spanish activity books with stickers. There are several themes, from pets and sharks to space. These fun books are not for beginners, but they are great for native speakers and also for children who have studied some Spanish.
Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls in Spanish
Cuentos de buenas noches para niñas rebeldes is the Spanish edition of Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls. This inspiring book tells the story of 100 extraordinary women in 1-page stories. At the time of writing this post, the Spanish edition is out of stock, but the English is available and has the story of several Latinas that Spanish learners will want to learn about. This is a lovely book and an excellent gift for any child.
The Spanish edition is best for native speakers and children who have had significant exposure to the language. Otherwise, go with the English so kids can appreciate the life stories of these amazing women.
Spanish Poems for Children
The Poetry Friday Anthology for Celebrations makes an excellent gift for Spanish learners. 35 poems from the book are now available as free audio downloads at SoundCloud! It is a great gift for a child, but also a wonderful gift for a Spanish teacher!

Cántale a tu bebé is an amazing book and CD of songs and finger-plays. It’s my new favorite baby gift! It was released in the fall of 2017, and it is a perfect way for parents, both native speakers and non-native speakers, to connect in Spanish with children.
Cathy and Marcy composed these beautiful songs specifically for parents to sing to their children, and Jorge Anaya and Sonia de los Santos sing them on the CD (a version for Papá and Mamá for each song). Listen below to see why I love these songs so much! The second song Uno, dos, tres is a finger-play and the actions are in the book.

One of my favorite artists for teaching preschoolers and kinders is Susy Dorn. The songs on Cantemos en español correspond to themes we teach children of that age. The songs use the theme to effectively teach language and concepts. My students love them!
Rimas y más Rimas is another excellent choice for little ones learning Spanish. Rhyme is an important early literacy skill and these short rhyming songs are a perfect way to introduce kids to the concept.
