Heart Design Printable Mother’s Day Cards in Spanish

The second card design has hearts for children to add Spanish words that describe their mother. First, use the lines at the side to help kids complete the sentence Mi mamá es… Then, they can add those words to the card.

The larger heart is to cut out, color, and glue on the inside of the card. Kids can decorate the outside of the card themselves.  It’s super cute!

If you are working with preschoolers who don’t write yet, they can color the hearts. If you are short on time with older kids, you can add words to the hearts before you make copies.

Mother’s Day is an important celebration in Latin America and Spain, and one that is important to share with Spanish learners. The date of Mother’s Day varies around the world, but most countries celebrate in May. In Spain, Mother’s Day is the first Sunday, while in Mexico Mother’s Day is May 10th, as it is in Guatemala and El Salvador. Much of South America (Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela) celebrates El Día de la Madre the second Sunday in May, like the United States.
