Multicultural Children's Book Day celebrates and advocates for diverse books.

Welcome to our 5th Multicultural Children’s Book Day! Spanish Playground is honored to again be a co-host for this important event.

Multicultural Children’s Book Day was founded by Valarie Budayr from Jump Into A Book and Mia Wenjen from PragmaticMom. This event raises awareness of the ongoing need to include kids’ books that celebrate diversity in home and school bookshelves. We also work diligently to get more of these books into the hands of readers, parents and educators.
